James Ashwood, Dark Romance Author

It’s lovely to meet you. I’m James Ashwood, writer of dark paranormal romance novels.

I’m excited to announce that the first book in my upcoming series, Palaces of Thorns, will arrive soon in 2024, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

It has been my dream for a long time to create not just a single world, but a living and evolving universe, which will allow me to share many characters’ stories within the same/similar settings… Even if individual series occur in different points in time—or even other dimensions within said universe.

As a writer of dark paranormal romance, there will be elements in my writing that are inappropriate for readers younger than 18 and people who are sensitive to some of the darker themes within the broad spectrum of the “dark” romance genre, but do note, no matter how deeply you delve into that abyss, there will always be a “happily ever after” awaiting you on the other side.
